Environmental Camps for Conservation Awareness (ECCA)
is a Nepali run NGO providing conservation and environmental education to communities.
The WMT sponsors an ECCA programme in schools in Southern Lalitpur, a poor, mountainous district just south of Kathmandu.
The programme includes tutorials on environmental issues, natural science discussions, arts, crafts and cultural programmes as well as support for nature clubs in the school.
We have also provided support for improvements to the participating schools such as drinking water purification, the construction of toilet blocks and installation of school fences.
